Bar Stools. Saturday , January 27th , 2018 - 15:42:08 PM
What all these stools have in common is that they are made of wood. Back in the times of wild west, metal was not as prevalent as it is today, and the cowboys had to make do with the materials that were more readily accessible, in particular wood. So the cowboys had to master the art of woodworking to create these stools. The other materials the cowboys had available were natural leathers, either coming from caught wild animals, but more commonly from the cows that were slaughtered for their meat. Another thing these western saddle bar or counter stools have in common is that, just like the horse saddles, they never feature a back rest, or the arm rests. Lets look at these three styles of saddle bar/counter stools.
Bar Stools come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and styles. When choosing the right stool for you think about style, comfort, and functionality and also the right colour to suit your kitchen, bar or cafe. Here are some tips on choosing the right size, style and functionality for your bar stool. Choosing the right Size There are several measurements to consider when choosing bar stools. Most stools are designed to go under or near a bar. The height of the bar will determine the height of the bar stool. You ideally need enough room for a person to sit comfortably, legs crossed on the stool while under or near your breakfast bar.
Even if you plan to purchase a bar stool that is pre-assembled, ask the salesperson if it is an RTA bar stool. Many retailers will pre-assemble the bar stool and sell it at a perceived UNBELIEVABLE PRICE. Look for bolts holding legs and other parts together. Avoid these bar stools if they are going to be used on a continuing basis. Nicer metal bar stools typically have all-welded frames. The only bolts you may see hold the seat to the swivel mechanism and there may be a few screws holding the seat pad to the metal frame. This type of construction is far more sturdy than RTA stools.
