5 Tips When Designing A New Kitchen Island If you have decided that your kitchen deserves a kitchen island, there are many ways to make the design unique and creative as well. Here are five tips for you to consider when designing: 1. Size: Once you have decided on the materials that youd like to use, it is time to consider the size. Do you want to go big and dramatic, making your kitchen island a focal piece of your kitchen remodel? Consider how much use it will get, what it will be used for, and how important open floor space is in your kitchen when deciding on dimensions.
